That is what we do. Home Depot has one for a couple of bucks, but I also recommend a second screen if you are connecting directly to a weeping tile. The second screen goes at the "tee" to prevent anything from getting into the main weeping tile. That will cause a blockage in the main system and "can" cause basement flooding from a Drainage System Failure.

I t all sounds good, but I have a couple of points.
Make sure you install a screen to prevent balls and leaves from plugging the drain pipe.
Make sure there is at least 8-12 inches of foundation wall under the window sill still showing after stone is installed.

You can't put too much stone in, so don't worry about that point.

I am sure that I read at one point on this site that, if Platon is used on the inside walls of the basement that a vapour barrier is not to be used.  What I want to do is, put Platon on the walls and floor with the wall and floor overlapping.  Is this a good idea or not?

I had a large amount of water come in to the window well and not drain so, she came in the window.   I have just d[img][/img]ug down to almost the footing of my window well.  I only have a space 18" wide by 32" long as a sidewalk is in my way.  I can not make it all the way to the footing (I am about 2' away.  There is a cement drain pipe running vertically to about 1.5 feet below the window I have flushed it out and it seems to drain well.  I have cut off the pipe and added a vertical weeping tile with the sock on it.  I applied Blue Seal and  drainage board.  Is there such a thing as putting too much 3/4" stone in as backfill?  I have about a 2.5' deep by 2' window well form I am going to fill with the stone then the outside of the well form will be dirt. 

What is your thoughts on this method?
